Mack celebrates 50 years of remanufacturing truck components

Remanufacturing line in 'Remack' facility

USAMack Trucks Inc, a subsidiary of Volvo based in Greensboro, North Carolina, is celebrating fifty years of “Remack”, its division dedicated to remanufacturing used parts for its truck and engine products.

Founded in 1975 in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, the Remack business moved to its current home in Middletown, a 75,000-square-foot facility also in Pennsylvania, in 1980. In 2009, a second facility was opened in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Middletown Remanufacturing Center and its sister plant refurbish components from more than 25 different product lines, such as engines, transmissions, coolant pumps, and NOx sensors.
