Caetano Bus receives order for 30 electric buses

Portugal – Bus and coach manufacturer, CaetanoBus SA of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, has received an order for 30 e.City Gold electric buses from STCP (Sociedade de Transportes Colectivos do Porto SA), the public transport operator of Porto. The new order, placed in mid-2025, follows a previous delivery of 48 e.City Gold buses, bringing the operator’s total fleet of Caetano electric buses to 78 units. The new e.City Gold buses will be deployed on urban routes across Porto, with delivery scheduled to begin in 2026. They will be manufactured at CaetanoBus’s headquarters and production facility in Vila Nova de Gaia, northern Portugal.
STCP’s investment is being financed through a combination of company funds and public co-funding under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), which supports the decarbonisation of urban public transport.
