Autel Energy collaborates with Phoenix Contact on megawatt charging system

MaxiCharger DT1000 series

Germany / China / USA  — Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Shenzhen, Autel Intelligent Technology Corp., Ltd. entered the EV infrastructure sector in 2021 with the creation of Autel Energy. The company manufactures AC chargers in Vietnam and DC fast-charging systems in China and the United States. Its new Greensboro, North Carolina, facility has an annual capacity target of 5,000 DC fast chargers, adding to global production scale.

The company recently showcased the MaxiCharger DT1000 terminal, integrating Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG* latest 1,000 A liquid-cooled CCS2 cable and connector at its Berlin global launch event. The collaboration, according to Autel, “marks the first integration of Phoenix Contact’s 1,000 A CCS2 technology into Autel’s MaxiCharger DT1000 series, boosting charging performance up to 1 MW and targeting heavy-duty vehicles, high-throughput fleets, and high-performance passenger cars”.
