Volvo Trucks announced back in late 2021 that it would acquire JMC Heavy Duty Vehicle Co Ltd and its manufacturing facility in Taiyuan, Shanxi from Jiangling Motors Corporation.

Volvo Trucks plans to produce up to 15,000 FH, FM and FMX trucks at the JMC facility in Taiyuan from the end of 2022 onwards.
