ZF acquires mobility provider 2getthere

Germany / The Netherlands - ZF Friedrichshafen AG of Friedrichshafen, Germany has acquired a 60% share of Utrecht-based 2getthere B.V., for an undisclosed sum. 2getthere offers complete automated transport systems with applications ranging from driverless electric transport systems at airports, business and theme parks to dedicated urban transport infrastructures. In addition to Utrecht, it has offices in San Francisco, Dubai and Singapore.

ZF said the move is a strategic investment towards executing its Next Generation Mobility strategy, to strengthen its foothold in the growing ‘Mobility as a Service’ and automated guided vehicle markets. The purchase ZF sees as complementary to its existing activities.
