Germany - ZF Friedrichshafen AG of Friedrichshafen, Germany plans to present the next generation of its automatic powershift transmission for buses at Busworld this month. Called EcoLife 2, ZF will show that the transmission is lighter, more efficient, more robust and easier to maintain.

ZF said the most significant improvements include possible fuel savings of up to 3%, stop-start capability for all model variants and reduced wear thanks to an optimised cooling concept.  Comfort levels are also improved resulting from better shifting quality.
