Hyundai develops electric bus remote monitoring system

South Korea - Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) of Seoul, South Korea has developed a remote monitoring system for electric bus fleets that provides real-time information such as vehicle location, battery levels and other key data.

The bus fleet management system was developed with the collaboration of local telecommunications company, KT Corp and is currently being tested on 14 electric buses operating in Seoul. The system, said to help improve bus fleet efficiency and safety, is being expanded to include electric buses fleets in operation in other regions.
