25-year-old ‘KEM’ facility in Mannheim key for series production of eCitaro and eActros electric models at Daimler

Germany - The Competence Center for Emission-Free Mobility* (KEM) in Mannheim, Germany has now been the pilot factory for vehicles with alternative drive systems for 25 years, the automotive giant, Daimler AG, announced last month.

As a development partner within the Stuttgart-based company, KEM builds prototypes, produces small series and prepares series start-ups, which Daimler states, assists in closing the gap between vehicle development and large-scale production.
