Germany / USA / Australia / NZ - Daimler Truck AG's most successful heavy-duty truck from the North American market, the Freightliner Cascadia, is now being offered for the very first to customers in Australia and New Zealand. The latest Class 8 ( >15t gcvw) truck and tractor unit was recently presented to customers and media representatives in Sydney. Cascadia holds a 38% share of the North American market for long-distance heavy haulage.

Daimler Trucks North America Inc (DTNA) of Portland, Oregon has been exporting trucks to Australia and New Zealand since 1989 but this is the first time that the Cascadia model series will be offered in the two markets. It will replace some Century Class models and some Coronado models.
