Faurecia to supply H-storage systems to Hyundai

France / South Korea - French automotive components manufacturer, Faurecia SA, headquartered in Paris, has won a contract to supply hydrogen storage systems for trucks built by Hyundai Motor Company of Seoul, South Korea.

The storage systems and tanks are to be produced at the company’s global centre for hydrogen storage systems in Bavans, eastern France, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2021. Faurecia is contracted to deliver 1,600 hydrogen systems, including 10,000 storage tanks, over a four-year period to Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility in Switzerland - a newly-created joint venture between Hyundai and H2 Energy of Opfikon, Switzerland to spearhead hydrogen mobility in Europe.
