Masats appointed door system supplier for Alstom’s Aptis e-bus

Spain - Masats SA of Sant Salvador de Guardiola (near Barcelona) has been chosen as the door supplier by the e-mobility division of Alstom of Saint-Ouen, for its all-electric all-wheel steer APTIS city bus.
Masats says it has custom-developed two versions of its 028C sliding door system, offering an electric outward opening and another version adapted to meet specific requirements and characteristics of each city. Masats says these are electric low-energy doors offering high-level control of movement, which makes the opening and closing gentler, so enhancing the system’s reliability. The door opening speed, however, is fast, reducing the time necessary between stops and helping with service compliance. As standard, the doors come with obstacle detection systems for greater passenger safety.
