Germany / Denmark - The first Profi Liner trailers with four-axles from Fahrzeugwerk Bernard Krone GMBH & Co KG of Werlte, Germany, are now on the roads with customers in Denmark, the company has announced. The new vehicles recently received approval from the Danish authorities allowing Krone to offer a vehicle specially tailored to the requirements of Danish transport companies. This is because in Denmark a rigid truck and semi-trailer combination with a total of seven axles up to a total weight of 56 tonnes is permitted.

The Profi Liner trailer with four axles is permitted to have a total weight of 30 tons, with each axle carrying 7.5 tons. This contrasts with an identical loaded trailer with three axles, which may weigh a maximum of 24 tonnes in Denmark.
