RATP begins trial with Caetano hydrogen fuel cell bus

France / Portugal – Transport operator, RATP Group in Paris has begun its first trial of a CaetanoBus H2.CityGold fuel cell powered bus on bus routes 189 and 21.

The H2.CityGold, equipped with a Toyota fuel cell, offers a range of 450km, thereby matching the range requirements of conventional diesel buses. The purpose of the trial is to allow RATP to develop its knowledge of practical operation of hydrogen technology and obtain real in-use information of daily driving performance in varying conditions i.e., weather, usage, and traffic environments.
