New Flyer completes pilot battery recycling process with Li-Cycle Corp

Canada – Subsidiaries of NFI Group Inc of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, New Flyer Industries Canada ULC, also of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and New Flyer of America Inc of Crookston, Minnesota, have successfully completed a battery recycling pilot with lithium-ion battery recycler, Li-Cycle Corporation.
Li-Cycle, headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, offers a proprietary, closed loop lithium-ion battery resource recovery service producing minimal solid waste, and zero liquid and air emissions, which can sustainably produce battery grade lithium, cobalt, and nickel products. The pilot is Li-Cycle’s first in the heavy-duty vehicle segment.
