KMB orders 56 ADL Enviro500s to take a decade of purchasing to over 2,500 units

UK / Hong Kong - An order for 56 Enviro500 three-axle double deck buses from Alexander Dennis Ltd of Larbert, UK by Hong Kong’s largest bus operator, The Kowloon Motor Bus Co (1933) Ltd (KMB) has resulted in orders of the current generation model (launched in 2012) to exceed 2,500 units.

KMB is the largest franchised bus operator in Hong Kong with a fleet of around 4,000 buses operating on over 400 routes. Its Enviro500 model is 12.8m long and powered by Euro VI low emission Cummins engines, capable of carrying up to 143 passengers with all 98 seats fitted with three-point safety belts. The 56 buses are scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2021. This latest order continues a long-standing relationship between ADL and KMB.
