USA - The Department of Energy in the United States of America has announced availability of USD100m, over four years, regarding the SuperTruck 3 (ST 3) programme and additional funding for low greenhouse gas vehicles. The ST 3 project is to focus on both medium- and heavy-duty low to zero-emissions trucks. The infrastructure support will focus on communities’ deployment of infrastructure for electric vehicles, among other investments.

The SuperTruck programme, organised by the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE), has a proven track record of success with the SuperTruck teams far exceeding the 50% fuel efficiency improvement they were tasked with achieving. NACFE is keen to see new companies join the programme and to push for further achievements.
