Peterbilt unveils new Paccar TX-8 transmission

USA - Peterbilt Motors Company of Denton, Texas, part of Paccar Inc, alongside its four new medium truck models, has launched the all-new Paccar TX-8 automatic transmission with updated Paccar PX engines.
Peterbilt states the new 8-speed PACCAR TX-8 automatic transmission features the latest technology to monitor changes in road grade, vehicle acceleration, torque demand, weight and engine load to keep the truck in the most fuel-efficient gear. Peterbilt states the new transmission allows for industry-leading shift performance delivers automotive-like shifting with up to 5% better fuel economy.
