Daimler Trucks GenH2 hydrogen-powered fuel cell tractor enters testing phase

Germany - Rigorous test track and test rig trials of Daimler Trucks’ first new enhanced hydrogen fuel cell-powered tractor unit prototype, the Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck began in late April, the Stuttgart-based company has announced.

Daimler Trucks AG says it is aiming to achieve ranges of up to 1,000km and more without stops for refuelling. The focus is on continuous operation in different weather and road conditions while undertaking various driving manoeuvres.
