Volvo and Daimler commit to hydrogen fuel-cells in cellcentric joint venture

Sweden / Germany – As previously announced (T&BB March 2021), Volvo Group of Gothenburg, Sweden and Daimler Truck AG of Stuttgart, Germany have now created a new joint venture company designed to accelerate the use of hydrogen-based fuel cells for long-haul trucks and beyond.

In March, the former company, Daimler Truck Fuel Cell GmbH & Co.KG was renamed cellcentric GmbH & Co.KG (cellcentric*), following completion of the previously announced HFC joint venture transaction.
