BYD ADL ebuses clock over 1 million km in New Zealand

China / UK / New ZealandBYD Co Ltd of Shenzhen, China and Alexander Dennis Ltd of Larbert, UK, have announced the 18, BYD ADL Enviro200EV 11m electric buses operating in New Zealand have now completed over one million kilometres in operation, reducing CO2 emissions by more than 1,000 tonnes.

New Zealand is aiming to transition its bus fleets to zero-emission by 2035 and more vehicles are on order. The BYD ADL Enviro200EV electric buses, which carry up to 37 passengers and have a range of  up to 300-400km on a single charge;  since 2020, the buses have been assembled locally through a partnership with Kiwi Bus Builders of Tauriko, Tauranga, New Zealand.
