Daimler Trucks unveils ‘e-Truck Ready’ profiling App for customer eCanter suitability evaluation

Germany - Daimler Trucks’ 'eTruck Ready' App for determining which operating profiles and routes are suitable for an eCanter truck, is now available in key European markets where Daimler Trucks is selling the Fuso eCanter electric truck such as Germany, France, Netherlands, UK, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and Austria.
The ‘eTruck Ready’ App is available free and enables customers to determine, which operating profiles and routes are suitable for an eCanter truck operation. The smartphone App records the driving routes of a conventional vehicle to capture key characteristics such as speed, acceleration and altitude profile along the route. Important parameters such as payload and outside temperature can be added afterwards by fleet managers in an individual web portal. From this data, the programme generates the respective range and expected power consumption of the FUSO eCanter, and thereby creating a realistic usage profile for customers.
