Germany – MAN Truck & Bus SE of Munich, Germany is introducing new ADAS and connectivity features with its latest generation of trucks. These are aimed at making the TGX, TGS, TGM and TGL, launched in 2020, even more safe, more user-friendly, more efficient and more digital. New features include the MAN OptiView mirror replacement system, the Collision Avoidance Assistant and Cruise Assist driving assistant. The new models also offer improved fuel savings of up to 3.7% and over-the-air updates with MAN Now – which introduces new digital services. These features are scheduled for introduction between July 2021 this year and early 2022.

The new, optional mirror replacement system can be ordered from October onwards. OptiView utilises cameras located at the front and on the sides of the vehicle. They show what is happening around the truck on two large high-resolution displays on the A-pillars and on the screen of the media system. Blind spots are thereby eliminated, improving visibility and increasing safety for other road users. The new Turn Assist function is also integrated into the display concept.
