Chile – According to data from the National Automotive Association of Chile (ANAC) in Santiago, the Chilean truck market grew in the first half of 2021 to 7,389 units, an increase of 69.3% compared with 4,364 units in the same period in 2020. The sector, ANAC says, maintained its pace of recovery for the tenth month in a row.

These results are being achieved by the fact that trucks and work vehicles have been treated as essential segments since the beginning of the pandemic, for the transfer of all the goods and services to ensure the normal supply and operation of the country. Mercedes-Benz topped the registration chart with a 97.3% rise in sales to 1,221 (619), followed by VW with sales rising 134.3% to 738 (315).
