USA – Components manufacturer, Meritor Inc of Troy, Michigan, announced it is to supply Hyliion - a manufacturer of electric powertrains for heavy-duty trucks based in Cedar Park, Texas - with its Blue Horizon-branded 14Xe integrated electric drive axles for Hyliion’s Hypertruck ERX (Electric Range Extender) series hybrid-electric drivetrain.

Meritor’s Blue Horizon 14Xe ePowertrain uses the 14X axle housing (which retains existing axle mounting hardware for ease of OEM integration) but is fitted with electric motors and transmission made suitable for fitment in medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
