AKASOL opens new battery plant in Germany

AKASOL new battery plant in Darmstadt, Germany

Germany – AKASOL AG, a manufacturer of battery systems and subsidiary of BorgWarner Inc¹ has opened its previously announced ‘Gigafactory 1’ on August 16, a new facility dedicated to the manufacture of battery systems for commercial vehicles at its headquarters in Darmstadt, Hesse. It is Europe’s largest such factory.
