Quantum Fuel Systems to supply trailers for hydrogen transportation to Certarus

USA / Canada – Quantum Fuel Systems LLC of Lake Forest, California, a manufacturer of fuel storage tanks and trailers for the transportation of natural gas, biomethane and hydrogen, will be delivering an undisclosed number of virtual pipeline trailers1 for hydrogen storage and transportation as part of an agreement with Certarus Ltd. The initial order will be fulfilled in December 2021, with more slated for delivery in 2022. The trailers will be approved for use in the U.S. and Canada.
The new VPLite-H45/40’ is a 40-foot trailer designed for the safe and efficient transportation of hydrogen tanks, with a gas mass of 803kg at 3,600 psi. The hydrogen is stored in QFS’s ‘Q-Lite’ high-pressure tanks. The trailers will be available to order from the end of this year.
