MAN UK launches new TGE emergency vehicles

UK MAN Truck and Bus UK Ltd, headquartered in Swindon, unveiled two new emergency vehicles at the 2021 Emergency Services Show in September, based on the TGE chassis. The first vehicle is a modular box body ambulance based on a 3.5 tonne TGE flat frame chassis cowl; the second vehicle is a larger fire and rescue breathing apparatus support vehicle based on a heavier 5.5 tonne TGE chassis cab.

The 3.5 tonne ambulance has been built by German special vehicle manufacturer WAS, based in Wietmarschen, whereas the 5.5 tonne breathing apparatus support vehicle has been built by British fire-fighting vehicle manufacturer, Angloco, based in Batley.
