BYD delivers the first electric buses to Marche Region of Italy

China / Italy – Chinese e-bus builder, BYD Inc., based in Shenzhen, China, has announced the delivery of two 8.7m Midi eBuses to the city of Ancona. The two units are the first fully-electric buses in operation across the Marche Region.
Over 100 BYD eBuses are currently on order or in operation throughout Italy, providing a zero-emission service in the cities of Turin, Novara, Alessandria, Milan, Padua and Messina. In Italy alone, they have travelled a combined 7 million km, saving an estimated 7,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
