IVECO and Nikola inaugurate JV manufacturing facility

Germany / USA / Italy – Nikola Corporation of Phoenix, USA, and Iveco SpA, based in Turin, Italy (a subsidiary of CNH Industrial), have inaugurated a new 200 sq km manufacturing facility in the city of Ulm, Germany. The partners claim the facility will be able to manufacturer 1000 units per day.

The first Nikola Tre models produced in Ulm will be delivered to customers in the United States in 2022. In addition to the battery-electric vehicle production model, the next evolution of this modular heavy-duty platform was also on display to the public in the form of the fuel cell electric vehicle prototype of the Nikola Tre. This subsequent model will enter production in Ulm by the end of 2023.
