Chile's truck market enjoys strongest quarter of the last four years while bus sales struggle

Chile – The Chilean truck market ended the third quarter of this year with strong sales performance. According to ANAC (National Automotive Association of Chile), 11,780 units were sold from January to September, an increase of 68.3% compared to the same period in 2020, when sales totalled 7,000 units. Additionally, the third quarter of 2021 was the strongest performing period of the last four years, with a total of 4,391 trucks sold, 66.6% above the third quarter of 2020 and 44.4% better than the same period in 2019.

In September, the truck market reached the highest monthly sales volume in recent years with an increase of 48.2% to 1,586 units, up from 1,070 units in September 2020.
