BrightDrop completes first series production units of EV600 delivery vehicle

USA / Canada – EV automaker BrightDrop (a subsidiary of General Motors Corp.) of Detroit, Michigan, has announced completion of the first series production units of its EV600 light commercial vehicle. The total development timeline of the EV600 was 20 months, breaking the record for the fastest time to market in GM’s history.

The EV600 is powered by GM’s Ultium battery platform that has been designed for delivery vehicles, featuring a range of 250 miles (400 km). The GVW rating of the vehicle is 4500 kg (10,000 lbs). BrightDrop claims that fleet managers can expect savings of USD7,000 annually when compared to similar diesel vehicles.
