Germany MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, has joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), so as to contribute to the decarbonisation of the commercial vehicle manufacturing industry.

The company has not yet committed to any specific targets. Fabian Heidinger, head of the company’s decarbonisation programme, stated: “More than 95 per cent of total greenhouse gas emissions along our value chain occur in the use phase of our products. Reducing emissions in this area is therefore a top priority.”
