Borgwarner wins grant to support e-component investment

USA – Component manufacturer Borgwarner Inc of Auburn Hills, Michigan, has announced it is the recipient of a USD225,000 grant from the Michigan Business Development Program to support a USD11.2 million investment at the firms’ existing facility in Cadillac, Michigan.

Aside from supporting the company’s EV component business, the funding will also be used to produce a high-voltage coolant heater (HVCH) at the Cadillac facility. This component will be used to manage cabin and battery temperatures that are critical for maintaining battery efficiency in electric vehicles.
