Cummins to power Letenda’s electric transit bus

Canada / USA – Canadian bus manufacturer Letenda Inc., based in Longueuil, Quebec, has announced that Cummins Inc. of Columbus, Indiana, will provide the electric powertrain for its new Electrip transit bus for North American markets.

The bus, expected to be unveiled in early 2022, will utilise Cummins’ Battery Electric System (BES), supported by three battery packs totalling a capacity of 222kWh. Cummins is providing a complete electric powertrain, including batteries, motors, charging controls and connectivity systems.
