Goodyear and Ohio local transit authority to collaborate on intelligent tyre tech

USA – The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company of Akron, Ohio, has announced a partnership with the Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) of Stark County, Ohio to collaborate on intelligent tyre sensors and prototype tyres for SARTA’s mixed fleet of diesel and hydrogen fuel cell buses.

The intelligent sensors use Goodyear’s TPMS Plus on-vehicle sensors to send real-time data on tyre conditions to the SightLine cloud, delivering insights on performance and maintenance to the operator.
