This divestment is part of Goodyear's strategic plan to streamline its operations and focus on core business areas. This sale follows Goodyear's recent divestment of its Off-the-Road equipment tyre business to Yokohama Rubber for USD 905 million last year.

Goodyear has been the preferred supplier to Wabash for over fifteen years.

The company appointed Joe Burke as the new Vice President of its North American commercial business, succeeding Dave Beasley, who is retiring after a 40-year career with Goodyear. Burke will report directly to the president of Goodyear Americas, Steve McClellan.

The company unveiled a new generation Kmax truck tyre range with new sizes available from Q1 2024. The new Kmax S (steer) and D (drive) Generation Two 17.5 and 19.5 were on display at the show.

Available in 8 different sizes, the tyre is now available for purchase and has been designed to help fleet owners meet regional haul demands in both tandem and spread axle trailer applications.

The RangeMax RSD EV is designed to withstand the added EV load capacities and with energy efficiency and low rolling resistance in mind, the tyre is available in size 295/75R22.5.

The tyre was made from 90% sustainable materials which has completed all regulatory testing, revealing lower rolling resistance when compared to the same tyre made from traditional materials.
