Mercedes-Benz brings electrification to new Citan range

Germany – Stuttgart-based Daimler AG has announced a new range of Mercedes-Benz Citan small vans with a choice of diesel, petrol, or electric powertrains. The company has also announced the Citan is the last Mercedes-Benz Vans project to use a combustion engine.

The Citan and eCitan will be available as a panel van or a tourer, both featuring sliding doors on each side of the vehicle. For the panel van variants, there are five options with internal combustion engines, three powered by diesel and two by petrol; the most powerful of these options are 85kW (116hp) for the diesel models, and 96kW (131hp) for petrol.
