BEST tenders for 1,900 new electric buses

Mumbai – Public transport service provider, Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST)¹ of Mumbai, has released a tender for some 1900 new electric buses.

BEST, which currently has a fleet of 386 electric buses, plans to complete procuring these additional buses by mid-2023. These 1,900 fully electric buses will be inducted in phases and will make up 50% of BEST’s Mumbai fleet by 2023.
