USA / GermanyNikola Corporation, a designer of zero-emission truck concepts based in Phoenix, Arizona, released its financial report for the third quarter of 2021, in which it provided updates on its manufacturing operations, announcing that it plans to begin deliveries of the battery-electric ‘Nikola Tre’ by December.

Up to 25 units will be delivered to dealers and customers by the end of the year. As for the fuel-cell electric model, testing has commenced at Nikola’s facilities. Both vehicles are being built at the company’s site at Coolidge, Arizona, and the joint venture manufacturing facility with Iveco SpA at Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The Coolidge facility is operating at partial capacity as it is still under construction, with the assembly hall expected to be completed in early 2023. Nikola anticipates that, upon completion, the Coolidge site will produce 20,000 units per year.
