Canada / USA – The NFI Group Inc, a bus and coach manufacturer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and parent company of several brands including Alexander Dennis, New Flyer, MCI, and ARBOC, has forged a partnership with Li-Cycle Holdings, a battery recycling firm based in Mississauga, Ontario, to offer battery recycling services to NFI customers in North America.

This arrangement builds on a pilot programme between NFI subsidiary New Flyer and Li-Cycle which was launched in January of this year, which marked the battery recycling company’s entry into the heavy-duty electric vehicle market. The new partnership extends the recycling provision to all North American customers of NFI and its subsidiaries. The companies have not yet specified the warranty conditions of the service.
