France Renault Trucks SAS, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Saint-Priest, France, has announced it will be releasing a new 52 kWh battery option for its ‘Master Z.E.’ battery-electric van, which will be available from Spring 2022.

The 52-kWh lithium-ion battery will be offered as an alternative to the current 33 kWh option. Renault Trucks claims the new battery will extend the vehicle’s range to 190 km, with fast charging capabilities allowing for 80% recharge in 2 hours and a full charge in 3 hours. The battery is protected by an 8-year or 160,000 km guarantee.
