Deppen to replace Schick as head of markets in Asia at Daimler Truck

Germany / Japan / India / ChinaDaimler Truck AG, a commercial vehicle manufacturer (recently spun off from Daimler AG) based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has appointed Karl Deppen as member of the Board of Management responsible for Daimler Truck China Ltd as well as the Japanese and Indian markets. He replaces Hartmut Shick, who retired after 35 years at Daimler. 

Deppen will be responsible for the group’s operations in Japan and India, where Daimler is primarily represented by its Mitsubishi Fuso and BharatBenz truck brands. He will also oversee the Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive joint venture in China.
