Hyundai to offer all CV ranges with fuel-cell variants by 2028

South Korea – Hyundai Motor Group of Seoul, Korea, announced at the Hydrogen Wave global online forum in September it plans to be the first manufacturer to offer all its commercial vehicle model ranges with a hydrogen fuel cell option by 2028, while many models will also be offered with a battery-powered variant, as part of the company’s Hydrogen Vision 2040 programme. 

The company also confirmed it plans to exploit opportunities to apply hydrogen fuel-cell technology to all types of public transport vehicles, including buses, trams, trains, ships and urban air mobility (UAM) vehicles. It will also develop fuel cell systems to generate power for buildings and even robots.
