Hyzon and Woodside agree partnership for green hydrogen production

USA / Australia – Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle manufacturer Hyzon Motors Inc, based in Rochester, New York, USA has announced a hydrogen partnership with Australian oil and natural gas producer Woodside Petroleum Ltd. The firms aim to jointly develop green hydrogen production facilities to serve existing and future Hyzon ultra-long-range trucks. The two companies will also work together to build demand for medium and heavy-duty vehicles in the US and Australia.

Woodside has also announced it is to establish a 290MW electrolysis facility in Ardmore, Oklahoma, USA, which will be able to produce up to 90 tonnes of liquid hydrogen per day. The firm claims the location offers capacity for expansion up to 550MW and 180 tonnes of hydrogen per day. Production is expected to start in 2025.
