Daimler Truck receives first major order for eActros truck

Germany – Daimler Truck Holding AG of Stuttgart, Germany, has received its first major order for 120 battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks. The vehicles will be operated by Swedish freight technology company Einride AB, based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Einride has ordered a combination of eActros 300 and 400 model trucks, which feature three or four battery packs - each pack with a capacity of 112kWh - totalling a battery capacity of 336kWh and 449kWh respectively. The truck’s drive unit consists of a rigid electric axle with two integrated electric motors and a two-speed transmission. Both liquid-cooled motors can provide a combined peak output of 400kW and a continuous output of 330kW. In addition, the vehicle can be recharged from 20-80% in around an hour with a conventional 400A DC fast charger.
