Chilean truck market recovers strongly in 2021

Chile - The Chilean truck market celebrated unit sales of 16,898 trucks in 2021, an increase of 58.7% over the 10,646 units registered 2020, a result that corresponds to the third best year of the past decade, behind 2011 and 2012 when 18,585 and 18,309 vehicles were registered respectively - according to figures collated and released by ANAC (National Automotive Association of Chile).

ANAC said the sustained growth of the truck market reflected the importance of goods transport and services in Chile and the industry sector to the Chilean economy.
