Trucks sales rise 77% in Colombia in 2021 but CV EV sales tumble

Colombia – The commercial vehicle sector in Colombia has grown in recent months, ending the year with positive numbers in 2021. According to ANDEMOS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility), commercial vehicle (trucks and buses) sales rose by 77.7% to 35,567 units compared with 20,018 units in 2020.

The truck segment saw market rise in every category. The best performing segments were medium and light trucks (i.e., trucks with PBT below 10.5 tons) registering sales of 26,836 units compared with 12,435 units in the previous year, an increase of 115.8%.
