Volta Trucks to integrate HERE Technologies GPS service in Volta Zero

Sweden / Netherlands / UK – Volta Trucks AB of Stockholm, Sweden has selected HERE Global BV, a GPS navigation software company trading as “HERE Technologies” and based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, to integrate tailored navigation services in its upcoming ‘Volta Zero’ range of electric trucks.
The Volta Zero, which is designed for last-mile deliveries in urban areas, will employ ‘EV Range Assistant’, a feature of HERE’s mapping software which includes range prediction for trucks en-route and allows for route planning. The GPS software will become part of Volta Trucks’ product offering, with an onboard navigation system which can be remotely configured by the customer, and which will provide real-time cloud-based services.
