By Bradley Osborne - 10th January 2022

USA Torc Robotics, an autonomous driving technology company based in Blacksburg, Virginia, has announced it will be opening new offices in Austin, Texas early this year, adding to its existing U.S. facilities which include its Virginian headquarters and its test centre in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The software company said it is opening offices in Austin to take advantage of its deep talent pool, attracted to the Texan city because of its relative low cost of living and high living standards. Austin is also conveniently located along the Southwest U.S. shipping corridor, a key long-haul freight network. The offices will play host mainly to software development teams, but Torc Robotics states that there is scope to expand the site to create space for autonomous truck testing.
