Cummins and Isuzu announce battery electric truck partnership

USA / Japan – Cummins Inc, based in Columbus, Indiana, has announced a partnership with Japanese CV OEM Isuzu Motors Ltd, based in Tokyo. Under the terms of the agreement, the two firms will produce a prototype medium-duty, battery electric truck to demonstrate in North America.

Cummins will integrate its PowerDrive6000 into Isuzu’s F Series medium-duty truck, with pilot testing of the product beginning later this year. The truck represents the first zero-emission solution resulting from the May 2019 Isuzu Cummins Powertrain Partnership.
